Couch
Sophia James
Boston-based band Couch infuses pop with funk, rock, and R&B/soul. Their vibrant sound is further defined by the members’ backgrounds in jazz, a cappella, and musical theater.
Until Spring 2021, Couch members were scattered across the country at various universities; they tackled the challenges of being a “long-distance” band, writing and even recording virtually for three years. Despite these challenges, they celebrated the release of their debut EP, “COUCH,” in February 2021 as well as three new singles and a headline tour in 2022.
In 2023, Couch released their sophomore EP, Sunshower, accompanied by an eponymous 20-city national tour, performances at Boston Calling and Levitate, and a sold-out UK tour.
Couch injects each project with their signature flavor: expressive horns, warm vocals, and bubbling synths—crafting an oasis of joy for musicians and non-musicians alike. Stay up to date on their activity by following them on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

RACHEL ANA DOBKEN
“Acceptance” Record Release Show
with special guests DRKHRT, Jwalttz
Rachel Ana Dobken is a quadruple threat (drums, guitar, vocals, keys) from Asbury Park, NJ. Described as “My Morning Jacket-meets-Amy Winehouse,” she has a knack for blending heavy indie-rock & soul, and has been featured by Relix, Guitar Girl Magazine, The Aquarian Weekly, The Star Ledger & more. Dobken worked closely with Danny Clinch and has sat in with the likes of Ben Kenney (Incubus), Mike McCready, Blind Melon, Robert Randolph, Rayland Baxter & more.
Dobken’s highly anticipated upcoming album “Acceptance” (2023) was produced by Erik Romero (The Front Bottoms) and Paul Ritchie (The Parlor Mob, gods, DRKHRT) in conjunction with Dobken. She played drums, guitar, keys and sang alongside bandmate/bassist Dan Haase, Erik Rudic (guitar), Mark Masefield (organ) and more special guests TBA. She will also be joined by current guitarist JT Sofo on April 5th.
DRKHRT is a rock band from Asbury Park, NJ, formed by Paul Ritchie (The Parlor Mob, gods), Ray Beck (Mohican, slowdust) Gary Zampini (Gringo Motel, gods) & Chad Sabo (The Cold Seas. Their first release “Wild Dreams” was something right out of their inner minds transferred like ink to paper, an erratic and chaotic story sketched out in under 15 minutes of heavy tones, blown out drums, riffs, and catchy melodies.
Jwalttz is a DIY bedroom project that James Waltsak started back in high school in Shark River Hills, NJ. Taking inspiration from many different sources, his music represents different things one feels navigating throughout different points of life. James states “I’m not really sure what I’m doing , but I know that I enjoy what I’m doing.”

JESUS JONES
with Discoveries of The American Scientific
Jesus Jones are back – but to be strictly accurate, they never actually went away. Jesus Jones first came together back in 1988, and their distinctive brand of sample-heavy pop found an instant, and receptive audience. Throughout the early 90’s the band enjoyed phenomenal success, particularly in America, where their single “Right Here Right Now” rose to number one, and their second album “Doubt’ sold over a million copies. They played the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury, supported INXS at Wembley Stadium, and performed to a quarter of a million people in Brazil.

DAVID MORRIS
Bored in the USA Tour
David Morris is a country artist, singer-songwriter and rapper from Charleston, West Virginia. His sound mixes trap style beats with slide guitars, banjos with catchy hooks, and lyrical mastery with relatable lyrics. David’s music has the power to connect with fans from all walks of life and push the country music genre forward. His growth on all platforms has skyrocketed since the release of his 2020 debut album, “Red, White, & American Blues,” which features several standout single such as the feel good anthem “Smalltown Queen”, the supportive “Who Hurt You” and the anthemic “Does He Know About Us.” David has landed himself just shy of 25 million collective streams on Spotify, and 15 million on Apple Music alone. David has received praise from several critics, and Elevator Music even cited that he very well may be “The future of country music.” David’s success however, is matched with a humble outlook. He says, “The greatest honor as an artist is seeing your music resonate with people. Hearing that a song can comfort someone, or inspire someone is the real reward”. If you are looking for an artist that writes raw and honest lyrics, but also produces tracks that you can drive down a backroad blasting through your subwoofers, look no further.

The Sensational Soul Cruisers are not just another 11-man vocal harmony group with horns. While it is still sometimes possible to find a band featuring a similar line up of instruments, it is unlikely that you will ever find another that performs with as much energy, passion, and talent as these guys. From their humble beginnings rehearsing in Freehold Borough at the chicken coops on Route 33 to the basement of the Cycle Shop on Throckmorton Street, this band has come a long way from its “Eddie and the Cruisers” days to become one of New Jersey’s best kept secrets.
Under the tutelage of legendary Jersey Shore sax player Screamin’ Steve Barlotta, who has been the captain of this fantastic soul cruise for over 30 years, who has catapulted this band from the recesses of a dingy basement to over 200 performances a year while capturing the true essence of the Jersey Shore sound and its true R&B roots. Fortunately for those of us that feel that the sound of classic Philly Soul, Motown, Disco, Stax, and the music of The Temptations, Four Tops, Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, The Trammps and other such groups was and still is some of the best music ever recorded or played live, there will be plenty of chances to see the Sensational Soul Cruisers perform this year and for many years to come. While the band travels to and plays concerts in theaters, clubs, public festivals, and private events throughout the country, they will be spending quite a bit of time up & down the east coast this year.
Over the past 3 decades the Soul Cruisers have been fortunate enough to grace the stage with many great artist from Bruce Springsteen, Little Anthony and The Imperials, Gloria Gaynor, Gary US Bonds, John Cafferty, Southside Johnny, The Emotions, Bon Jovi, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder. As well as being the long time favorite house band at New York City’s famed Copacabana.

The 502s
Great American Road Trip Tour
with Daniel Nunnelee
ABOUT THE 502s
The 502s are known as the happiest band on earth. Led by earnest banjo-strumming lead singer-songwriter Ed Isola, the six piece indie-folk (or beach core or ska folk) band from Orlando is more than just a group of happy-go-lucky musicians, they are one of the best live bands of their generation. The raucous, nonstop, life-affirming experience of a 502s show is quickly becoming a thing of legend.
In three short years, the 502s leapt from their first show at a local bar to selling out tours across the US and Europe, fueled by their hit “Just A Little While” (100m streams and counting). However, to credit their fast rise to success on one song misses the full story and would greatly disappoint the enthusiastic fanbase who sing every word to every song at their live shows. As a fan once famously said “If you could bottle this experience up and sell it, it would solve a lot of the world’s problems.”
FASTBALL
Nostalgia is easy. Easy money. Easy memories. And the peak-and-crash crash rush of the comfortable and familiar, which fades away in an instant. Inspiration is hard. Achieving it demands vulnerability, cooperation, and a belief that the next
thing you create could genuinely move someone’s soul.
Over the many years together, the men of Fastball have come to appreciate that the whole point of their careers together is building off of the trust, creativity and just plain hard work of making inspired music together. It’s a career highlighted by the early career chart-topping success of hit single “The Way,” which guitarist Miles Zuniga wryly remarks, “I like to say that ‘The Way’ gave us the freedom to continue doing what we do.”
What the band has done steadily through the years is continually hone its voice and sound, which has further evolved on its new self-titled album, recorded in far west Texas at Sonic Ranch Studio with acclaimed producer David Garza. Fastball is the fourth album the band has made during a 10-year streak that founders Zuniga, guitarist/singer Tony Scalzo, and drummer Joey Shuffield agree has seen them at their most creative and open-hearted as a trio of musicians and lifelong friends.

LACUNA COIL
Ignite The Fire Tour
New Years Day
Oceans of Slumber
It was October of 2002, and the turn of the millennium saw the world of heavy music in flux. If you were paying attention to the press then you’d have probably been reading about the chart-smashing successes of bands like Korn and Queens of the Stone Age, and while Nu Metal was undeniably king, the angst-ridden musical fragmentation of the 90s had produced a panoply of genre-bending up-and-comers who refused to sit comfortably in any pre-ordained category or play by the creative rules laid out for them. It would swiftly transform the musical landscape in ways nobody could have predicted, and riding the crest of that wave was a humble Italian outfit who dared to dream big.
Lacuna Coil had already been around for eight years, and their two previous releases – 1999’s debut In A Reverie and 2001’s Unleashed Memories via longtime label Century Media had roundly established them as a formidable studio and live act spearheaded by Andrea Ferro and
Cristina Scabbia’s pitch-forked vocal delivery, but the gulf between Milan’s most promising exports and wider recognition was down to more than geography alone. While the genetic material for 2002’s Comalies was already in place in the form of bassist and songwriter-in-chief
Marco ‘Maki’ Coti-Zelati, Lacuna Coil’s third release was the pivotal moment that would usher in a globe and decade-spanning career. All that said, while the landmark release would undeniably change their destiny forever, what is now undeniably an anthem laden millennial classic was anything but an overnight success. If anything, it established Lacuna Coil as a band with the stamina to go the distance and much of the climbing still lay ahead.
Now, two decades later, Lacuna Coil decided to revisit the songs, but not to just re-record the songs as they were, but deconstruct and transport them into 2022. “This is not a reboot or a spin-off or anything like that,” says vocalist Cristina Scabbia.”We just wanted to give these songs a new dress and see how this guy or girl who was born 20 years ago would still look slick.”

deSoL
Benefit for The Sato Project
NOTE: This is an all-ages show!
deSoL is a multi cultural brotherhood from Asbury Park, NJ whose music mixes rock hooks with fiery Latin rhythms sung in English, Spanish & “Spanglish.” The result is a musical stew where the individual styles of the six musicians combine to create a sound that keeps audiences on their feet.
deSoL’s infectious and relatable live show is a physical and spiritual experience.
Formed in the early 2000s, they spent 10 years honing their live show in front of audiences across the US. Then, on the strength of two AA hit singles “Karma” and Sing It All Night” they became a fixture on the festival circuit and scored support slots for several bands including Los Lonely Boys, The Legendary Wailers, Widespread Panic and REM. After a a break to focus on family, the pandemic hit. The band recently reunited to write and record a crop of new songs and perform again in select east coast venues.
Their music and message has remained upbeat and positive and appeals to listeners of all ages and backgrounds.
deSoL: of the sun, for the people…
Partial proceeds to benefit The Sato Project. For additional information please see mission statement below and visit: thesatoproject.org
The Sato Project is dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico. There are currently an estimated 500,000 stray dogs roaming the island’s streets and beaches. With no access to food, fresh water, or veterinary care, many of these dogs are living daily lives of severe suffering. The municipal shelter system is drastically overwhelmed, with only five shelters across all 78 of the island’s municipalities. These shelters have a combined euthanasia rate of over 94%. For thousands of stray and abandoned dogs in the area in which we operate, we are their only hope.

DEAD POET SOCIETY
FISSION Tour
with ANDRES
Asked what it is he wants audiences to take away from FISSION, the second album from Dead Poet Society, Jack Underkofler offers these eight words: “We want to leave them with the truth.”
The affable and engaging 30-year-old delivers these words with the forthrightness that marks his discussions about the band he fronts, completed by Jack Collins (guitar), Will Goodroad (drums) and Dylan Brenner (bass), and the art this collective of college friends have exhaustively dedicated themselves molding, too often to their own detriment.
It’s an answer that epitomizes the dedication with which the quartet approach their craft, and the search for its purest, most meaningful form. “It’s not as simple as saying we want our music to leave people with a positive outlook,” Underkofler explains. “You want music to speak to wherever you find yourself. We want to leave people feeling that whatever they are experiencing is valid, no matter what place they are at in their lives.”
After a decade defining, redefining and perfecting their art, where Dead Poet Society find themselves on the eve of their sophomore release is much clearer. Make no mistake: Dead Poet Society are a uniquely captivating group, rock’s next great breakout act, with FISSION capturing the hearts and challenge the minds of fans old and new on the journey
ahead.

The Stone Pony 50th Anniversary Celebration
One of Asbury Park’s hottest bands from the 2000s returns for a special Stone Pony 50th Anniversary Celebration!
The boys are back in town! Asbury hometown headliners Status Green return to The Stone Pony for a much anticipated all original members reunion. Status Green is Lou Montesano (lead vocals), Chris Marino (guitar), Russell Tolas (bass guitar) and Mike Montalto (drums).
The pop-rock quartet burst out of the Asbury music scene in the mid-2000s with regular appearances at The Stone Pony. From CBGB’s to the Whiskey a Go Go, SG spent nearly a decade entertaining music fans with their infectious and high-energy shows and have graced some of the top regional and National stages in the US including PNC Bank Arts Center, The Warped Tour, and have made consecutive appearances at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
“We have some surprises in store for you! Special guests will be announced soon. Hope to see you at the Pony on May 11th”
Mikaela Davis and Southern Star
with special guest Bridget Kearney
Five years since her debut album Delivery, Mikaela Davis has moved away from her hometown of Rochester, shared the stage with the likes of Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Christian McBride, Bon Iver, Lake Street Dive and Circles Around the Sun and entered a new decade. But it’s the ever-evolving relationships between her closest friends and bandmates that has propelled the Hudson Valley-based artist onto her new album And Southern Star––a truly collaborative effort that ruminates on the choices we make, and the people we always come back to.
Davis earned her degree in harp performance at the Crane School of Music, and has molded her classical music training to create an original and genre-bending catalog that weaves together 60s pop-soaked melodies, psychedelia and driving folk rock. She met her bandmates at pivotal moments in her life––drummer Alex Coté in childhood, guitarist Cian McCarthy and bassist Shane McCarthy in college, and steel guitarist Kurt Johnson in her early twenties. It’s the band’s collective step into adulthood that has informed much of And Southern Star’s thematic landscape.

Letting go of genre, expectation, and boxes, Satsang has leaned into the power of songwriting to drive their release, Flowers From The Fray (the band’s 5th album in 6 years). Recorded and self-produced with the help of bandmate and longtime collaborator Parker Brown, this record finds the duo tucked away in a secluded cabin in Southwest Montana digging back into the foundation on which Satsang was founded on. “These songs were all so personal to me” says Drew McManus. “Whether it was really sifting through the stage of life I had found myself in which was a kind of dark night of the soul, or leaning into the love of my wife. This record is truly me bearing my heart. I needed to seclude myself to find out where these songs wanted to go, and having Parker’s musical guidance had a big hand in that. ”This record, coupled with the band’s last release All. Right. Now. is a maturing. A growing into the songwriter and musicians that the band was destined to be. A settled and firm foundation of influences and sound that brings every external aspect in and finds it internalized and distilled into “Flowers From the Fray”.

While Messer Chups’ sound is hard to neatly categorize, the band has developed a cult following among fans of rockabilly, horror punk, vintage surf records, Italian slasher films, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Pulp Fiction, lounge music, the theremin, The Cramps, and the theme song from The Munsters. Live, they explode with garage-punk intensity, all played against a video-collage backdrop of mid-century trashy cult and horror movie clips featuring Russ Meyer and Ed Wood, and superstars like Vampira and Bela Lugosi in a zombie mash-up.

North 2 Shore presents HAPPY MONDAYS
featuring Renee Maskin, Blush, The Hard Maybes and The Foes of Fern
Doors 7:00 pm
Showtime 7:30pm
RENEE MASKIN:
Known for her distinctive voice, literally and artistically, Renee Maskin is a staple of the thriving music scene in Asbury Park, NJ. With three solo LPs released in three years, her prolific output pulls from a deep well of influence, from country, to garage, to modern indie-rock.
Maskin has notably opened for a wide range of acts, including Jon Langford (Mekons), William Tyler, Del Amitri, Tyler Ramsey, and notably toured with her former group, Lowlight, in support of The Pretenders. Maskin was named “Songwriter of the Year 2023” by New Jersey Stage Magazine. Her most recent LP, Shimmer, was named one of 2023’s National Top Albums by The Aquarian.
BLUSH:
Blush is an Asbury Park based band that plays groovy indie rock with notes of pop, blues, and funk. The band consists of Jon Bass on drums, Jackie Flanders on keys, Evan Hutchins on guitar, and Joy Morgan on bass and was formed in September of 2023. Influences are the B-52s, The Doors, Ben Folds, The Beatles, Talking Heads, and No Doubt.
THE HARD MAYBES:
The Hard Maybes are like the sound of Pop Rocks being poured into an ice cold glass of Coca Cola; unmistakably familiar but tough to pin down.
They marry girl group gravitas with gritty indie style in way that no one else in the New Jersey scene seems to be able to do quite so effectively. And for that, they’ve earned themselves a standout place within it, despite only having made their debut in 2022. Lead vocalist Harley Cunha sings like the most left-swiped Disney Princess on the Internet. But rest assured, there are no Tinder Kings in these songs and the band’s no-effs-given attitude makes that abundantly clear.
THE FOES OF FERN:
The Foes of Fern are an Asbury Park-based band that is known for performing an exhilarating blend of genres, once referred to as “Soulful Multilayered Organic Indie Folk Rock” by music venue, The Saint.
Marrying drums, bass, guitar, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, among other instruments, The Foes bring the party to Asbury Park, playing at many of the local music venues including The Stone Pony, Wonder Bar, Asbury Lanes, and Low Dive. On June 16th, 2023, The Foes of Fern released their second studio album, “Rerun.” Their first album, “Carpe Diem”, was released in August 2020. You can listen to both on Spotify. The Foes of Fern are represented by Telegraph Hill Records.

North 2 Shore presents Asbury Jams Kickoff featuring Mihali
Doors 7:00 pm
Showtime 8:00pm
For Mihali, music behaves much like a living being.
It grows, matures, and changes with a sentient consciousness and whims of its own. The Vermont-based solo singer, songwriter, guitarist, artist, and Twiddle co-founder follows reggae’s evolutionary ebb and flow, existing in a perpetual state of inspiration and creation, and remaining committed to sonic evolution. Exuding a balanced mix of rich influence, Mihali’s music entwines reggae spirit, fluid soundscape architecture, and invigorating mantras meant to be chanted aloud in a packed venue.
Following years of fan demand, Mihali served up his solo debut, Breathe and Let Go, in 2020. It boasted collaborations with Citizen Cope, Matisyahu, G. Love & Special Sauce, and Trevor Hall, and instantly reacted with audiences, gathering millions of streams. In addition to glowing reviews from JamBase and Live For Live Music, Grateful Web exclaimed, “Mihali’s musical talent is special.”
During the global pandemic, Mihali kept writing songs. One particular tune, “All Day” [feat. Nathan Aurora], reminded him of tourmates and friends Iya Terra, so he sent the demo to vocalist and guitarist Nathan Feinstein. Vibing with the direction, Nathan finished the song and fired it back to Mihali, unassumingly kicking off the process behind his new record, Effection [released July 22, 2022].
“It was very easy,” Mihali says with a smile. “Reggae has always been such a passion of mine. I’d write a song, send it to Nate, and we’d work on it. It simply happened. We basically agreed, ‘Let’s write a record.’ It was more about having fun as buddies. Nathan’s a genius. He did all of the drums, bass, piano, and a bit of guitar. Every morning, I would wake up to a new .wav file, and it was like Christmas!”
They finished the record remotely, with Nathan behind the board as producer. After teasing its arrival with “Maplewood,” Mihali unveiled the single “Greater Escape” [with The Movement & The Elovaters]. The gritty dub track features a simmering, synth and guitar driven beat, accented by explosive verses from Josh Swain of reggae-rock quartet The Movement and Jackson Weatherbee of The Elovaters.
“I was getting overwhelmed in life,” he admits. “Sometimes, you have to take that much-needed break to do what makes you happy instead of getting caught up in the details of what’s bringing you down. Some people climb mountains; other people party. It’s all about what gets you there. Musically, it’s so different from anything I’ve ever done. Nathan has so many connections and gave me a lot of access to great minds such as The Movement and The Elovaters.”
Waves of guitar buoy Mihali’s flowing delivery on third single, “Living Is The Lesson” [with Iration]. He enlisted the support of veteran California dub-pop band Iration for the track, which is accompanied by an animated music video in psychedelic pastel by Kamil Dymek.
“It’s an ode to living in the present and trying to enjoy it rather than looking at the future,” he goes on. “A lot of us are so nose down to the grind trying to achieve a goal, that we miss out on the good things in our lives. It’s horrible to look back and see what you could’ve experienced.”
Then, there’s the title track “Effection” [with SOJA]. Horns pipe up over a laid back guitar riff before Mihali urges, “Wake up the love inside of you,” as Hemphill counters with a commensurately thoughtful cameo.
“It’s about making positive changes in your life to get healthier, which is usually very difficult to do,” he notes. “You have to really want it and call upon yourself to get there. I love SOJA’s lyrics. They resonate with the album and the current times.”
Representing the most striking progression on the record, Mihali joins forces with bluegrass phenomenon The Kitchen Dwellers for “Ballad of Broken.” It incorporates “untraditional reggae instruments” — a la banjo, mandolin, and upright bass — into a luminous anthem.
“It’s a nice, sad country song, reggae-style,” he grins. “It was new territory for all of us.”
In the end, living remains Mihali’s greatest lesson, and his music continues to transform with him.
“I tried not to go super heavy or deep on the emotions,” he leaves off. “Instead, there’s a lot of happiness and hope on Effection. Personally, I’m wearing a lot of hats right now. I’m incredibly proud and excited to be releasing so much music and, as always, evolving.”

Doors 8:00 pm
Showtime 8:30pm
For this show Dramarama will perform, for the first time ever, in its entirety, their 1991 album “Vinyl” along with all of your Dramarama favorites in a 2 hour plus show!
Rooted in distorted grit, punk energy, and American songbook eloquence, and sporting three of the original “four-ish” members.
Well, they didn’t start out with a permanent drummer), Dramarama has always been both classic and cutting-edge. This iconic alternative rock group was formed in the basement of a record store in Wayne, New Jersey by John Easdale [singer, songwriter], Mark Englert [lead, rhythm guitar], Peter Wood [lead, rhythm guitar], and have, for the past 18-plus years, been joined by Mike Davis [bass], and Tony Snow [drums], who not only preserve but strengthen the spirit that established Dramarama as a historymaking force in 1982.
As the story goes, John, Peter and Mark traded New Jersey for Los Angeles. Long before the nineties alt rock radio boom, the West Coast initially embraced the group’s single, “Anything, Anything (I’ll Give You…)” (off their 1985 debut, Cinéma Vérité), as the de facto anthem of the nascent alternative nation. It notably made history as one of the most requested songs of all time on the World Famous KROQ 106.7 FM in Los Angeles. It could also be heard loud and clear everywhere from A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master to HBO’s Entourage. And although Dramarama has yet to become a household name (still the next big thing), Easdale’s work has been cited as an influence on several major bands of the last three decades.
On the heels of Cinéma Vérité’s success the band delivered a decade of fan favorite albums: Box Office Bomb [1987], Stuck in Wonderamaland [1989], Vinyl [1991] and Hi-Fi Sci-Fi [1993], and after a 10-year hiatus served up Everybody Dies in 2005. As their legacy solidified, more critical praise followed. The Chicago Sun Times christened them “one of America’s best rock bands” and the Los Angeles Times proclaimed Easdale “one of the finest singer/songwriters of these times.” And the praise continues as Dramarama’s latest release, Color TV, was named one of the Top 10 Albums of 2020 by legendary music journalist and critic Robert Christgau.
The band is having more fun than ever and exudes a confidence and ease that can only come through experience and mutual respect. As Easdale puts it, “Few things compare to that sense of uninhibitedness you feel during a great show — waving your fist, stomping your feet, singing out loud and not [caring] about anything but the music. I’m proud to say that this is the feeling experienced by both the band and audience at the vast majority of Dramarama live shows — fast, tight, loud, sweaty sing-a-longs. EVERY time we play, the audience’s pleasure is our primary concern.”

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
Shake The Sheets 20th Anniversary
with Ekko Astral
Ted Leo is a unique artist for these times. He provides a near perfect combination of politics, art, punk values and humor in his songwriting and the combination is resonating with people all over the world. Having toiled for years in the punk underground with both his former band Chisel and his solo effort Ted Leo/Pharmacists, 2004 is definitely the year Ted Leo is primed to break out into the mainstream.
In February 2003, Lookout Records released the critically acclaimed “Hearts Of Oak,” a gem of a record that received accolades from Spin, Rolling Stone, Magnet, the New York Times, MTV. Touring and promotion in support of “Hearts” was massive and included 5 US tours, a run in Japan and the UK and an appearance on “Late Night With Conan O’Brien.” A brief respite from touring was required mid-way through his second US run, when his vocal chords became enflamed due to the rigorous schedule of radio station visits, in store performances and nightly gigs. Ted began a new regimen of vocal warm ups, fewer shows in a row and a dram less Irish Whisky and found his voice to be stronger than ever.
In early 2004, in between some short tours, Ted began to write his fourth solo album. Motivated to keep pushing himself as a songwriter, performer and cultural critic, he shut himself in the basement of his childhood home in New Jersey and began to write. The songs that resulted in “Shake The Sheets” are fresh, smart, and passionate. Producer Chris Shaw proved to be the perfect partner for Ted and his sonic vision for the album. Well known for his work in producing the last 2 Bob Dylan albums, Shaw has also worked on many other diverse projects, from Dashboard Confessional, to Bell Biv De Voe to the classic Public Enemy album, “It Takes a Nation Of Millions to Hold Us Back.”
Ted Leo is an artist who is well poised for a career with no limits. He will continue to write pop rock gems and work hard on the road to connect with his fans who continue to grow with him as he connects with more and more people. Do not be surprised if in 25 years you are dusting off your album jackets and along with Joe Jackson, Nick Lowe, Paul Weller you throw on Ted Leo to change your mood for the day.

SOMETHING CORPORATE
Out of Office Tour 2024

“The band and I couldn’t be more excited for these upcoming dates,” shares front man Andrew McMahon. “We’re having more fun together than ever and the generosity of the fans, both online and at last year’s shows, made it impossible not to come back and do a few more. We hope to see you there!”
The core members of the Orange County, California quintet – Andrew McMahon(vocals, piano), Josh Partington (guitar), Kevin “Clutch” Page (bass), Brian Ireland (drums), and William Tell (guitar) – reunited in 2023 for main stage performances at the When We Were Young festival and three sold-out headlining shows in Las Vegas and Anaheim. These five special gigs, their first official shows together in 20 years, left their dedicated fanbase clamoring for more. The reunion performances also saw McMahon debut a one-of-a-kind upright piano fully wrapped in Christie MicroTiles LED displaying images and lyrics from throughout the band’s catalog, slated to be front and center once again on the Out Of Office Tour.
Something Corporate first formed in 1998 when its members were in high school and in a short period of time created quite the stir before going on hiatus in 2005. During its tenure, the highly adored SoCal band released multiple albums, including their major label debut, Leaving Through The Window, in 2002 via MCA Records/Drive-Thru Records, which premiered at the top of the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, and 2003’s North, which entered the Billboard 200 at #24. During its heyday, the band toured extensively worldwide, including a summer on the Vans Warped Tour, graced the cover of Alternative Press magazine, and performed on late-night TV including an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Collectively, Something Corporate – hailed as “one of the most respected groups in the scene with their incredible hooks and emotionally transparent music” (Alternative Press) – has sold more than 1 million total records.

BROOKS NIELSEN of The Growlers
Chinese Fountain 10th Anniversary Show
Brooks Nielsen, lead singer of surf-psych icons The Growlers, revisits the band’s classic album, Chinese Fountain, to celebrate its tenth anniversary. Nielsen will perform the album from start to finish (and then some) this fall at 26 very special North American shows.
Chinese Fountain is The Growlers’ fourth studio album and sees the band evolve from a psych-circus, while remaining true to the band’s “beach goth” essence. It is blessedly direct, with razor sharp songwriting and engaging melodies at the center of every song; “Big Toe,” “Going Gets Tough,” “Love Test,” “Rare Hearts” and or course, the disco-punk and synth-splashed title track. It was that track that signaled the band’s move from the dive bar to the dance floor–a precursor of sorts to the band’s follow-up, the Julian Casablancas-produced City Club.
Uncompromising, enigmatic, and wildly ambitious, Nielsen isn’t tiptoeing into his solo career. The energetic singer has had a busy couple of years, embarking on headline tours where he regularly performs more than two hours each night, sometimes stretching his show past the three-hour mark.
His latest singles “Tropical Cowboy” and “Chew My Heart Out,” function as a duo. A couple. A gemini gesture to herald his upcoming second solo album, A Ride I’m Waiting For. Originally written in 2014 for Chinese Fountain, the songs are a sneaky flashback to a different era when The Growlers released tracks as “couples.” Not singles, but two songs together, intertwined in thought and expression.
You can hear the new tracks live at the upcoming Chinese Fountain 10th Anniversary Shows as well as songs from Nielsen’s 20-track solo debut One Match Left and subsequent The Circle and Psycho EPs. Nielsen’s dynamic set lists have been loaded with Growlers’ classics, deep cuts, choice covers, and stripped-down, unplugged mini-sets.
Aided by a live band that includes Growlers drummer Richard Gowen, bassist Brogan Dutcher, keyboardist Cole Riddle, and guitarists J.D. Carrera and Elyadeen Anbar, Nielsen melds the live spontaneity of the improv-driven rock scene with the energy of his punk peers.
Come enjoy an evening with Linda Shields, The Jersey Shore Medium, as she connects with those who have crossed over. Linda realized her “gift” at a very early age and tells us that her greatest joy is in being able to be the “voice” of a loved one or friend who has passed and wants to communicate with those they have left behind. This promises to be an evening with many surprises! Doors at 5:30, show starts at 7.
