Can’t Buy Me Love” returns to Asbury Park for the second year, and this time, the Valentine’s Day market is going above and beyond.
Expect a pop up roller skating rink, a vintage lounge, interactive workshops, A Beatles tribute band, handmade jewelry, art, home goods, and treats for your Valentine’s Day sweetheart.
The market will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 and Sunday, Feb. 12 in the Grand Arcade at Convention Hall in Asbury Park. The market is curated by the Asbury Park Bazaar and The Market.
“Why do the same old, same old this Valentine’s?” Jenny Vickers Chyb, the founder of the Asbury Park Bazaar, said. “Bring your date and friends to our pop up Valentine’s market and and roller skate the weekend away at Convention Hall.”
The weekend will feature a roller skating rink that will be open from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. There will be hour long sessions featuring different music hits, including Madonna, Donna Summer, disco, seventies and more. In the evenings, skaters are encouraged to dress up in their best disco attire.
“(Hang in) our curated vintage shopping lounge, where you can listen to records and pick up the perfect outfit for a ’70s and ’80s inspired roller boogie,” Vickers Chyb said.
Throughout the weekend, there will also be interactive market workshops, including fiber jewelry, bundle dying, and soap making, hosted by The Market.
“Hey Bulldog,” a New Brunswick based Beatles tribute band will play covers and refreshments will be available, like oysters and Champagne at the Oyster Bar or a delicious hot toddy at Anchor’s Bend.

Saturday will feature Pop Shop Photobooth, Faye and Renee hand-tied flower bouquets, Derwood Paint Co., Warmth Soy Candle Co., Diego’s Chocolate, She’s Got Balls, Earthly clothing, Wanderlove Press, Ophelia Moon Jewelry, Crochet it Forward, Bell Mountain Naturals, Content and Company, Tripsy, Dark and Delicate, Norse Ceramics, Spoiled Paws Bowtique, Lovely Little Plants, Claudia Chloe, New Antlers, Penelope Traveling Boutique, Moonmind Vintage, and Junkyard Angel.
Sunday, there will be Faye and Renee, Modern Animals, Helmsman Candle Co., All You Need is Cake, The 50/50 Company, Blackheart Letterpress, Moonage Daydream, Harley Rose Studio, Big Spoon Little Spoon, The Lucky Honeybee, Forage Workshop, Steady Hand Creative, Sunnyside Stitch, Paws Pet Boutique, Salvaged Green, New Antlers, Harmony Revolution, Modern Hex, Irina Vintage, and Open Roads.
